Rotary Club of Antioch-IL

Technical Training Grant

These scholarships are awarded annually to local students wishing to continue their education beyond high school in a vocational, trades, or career-based program.
One of the awarded scholarships will be the Reed Ano Scholarship for the Trades. It will be bestowed in honor of a long time Rotarian Reed Ano, a local businessman in the plumbing trade who exemplified the spirit of Rotary by helping young people achieve their potential and unselfishly giving for the good of the community.
All current or former student applicants must reside within Community High School District #117 boundaries and must not be an immediate family member of a current Rotarian.  These awards will support costs for costs associated for a vocational, trades, or career-based educational program. The funds could support tuition, books, certification, equipment, or other areas needed for success.
Students will become eligible by completing an application form available from the District #117 Student Services Office or Click Here to download and application or by clicking on the application link on the left side of this page or mail a request to the Antioch Rotary Club (P.O. Box 35, Antioch, IL, 60002). Applications must be submitted by March 1st of the current school year. Applications will be screened and candidates will be interviewed as a part of the selection process. The awards will be one-time scholarships. Successful recipients may be paired with a current Rotarian as a mentor to offer continued support and opportunities for the student.
Applications will be submitted to a D117 Student Services Office or the Rotary Vocational Committee (P.O. Box 35, Antioch, IL, 60002) by March 1 for review and selection. Decisions and notifications shall be made by April 30 of each year.
Successful candidates will be recognized at the District #117 Honors Night Program and be invited to a regular Rotary Club meeting for recognition.
