In 2018 Rotary District 6440 was able to mobilize volunteers from nine Rotary Clubs to ring bells for the Salvation Army Radiothon at Woodfield Mall. This year our Rotary District has a much larger opportunity to participate in the Salvation Army Radiothon taking place on December 6th, 2019. Rotary District 6440 has been asked if we would like to be the only organization represented in the bell ringing for the Salvation Army Radiothon. This commitment will be to have two volunteers at each door (10 doors) in two hour shifts from 10:00 A.M.. until 8:00 P.M.. This commitment will require approximately one hundred (100) people. This could be two Rotarians per door or One family per door.
Please contact President JoAnn by August 18th. She will need the names of the volunteers along with their time of availability. The bell ringing will take place on December 6th, 2019.
This opportunity aligns with Rotary President Mark Maloney's strategic goals to "expand our engagement in the community" and "include family in our service projects". I love being a Rotarian in District 6440 and know we can do this if we all work together.
