Christian Clauwers is a Belgian impact-driven documentary photographer, explorer, public speaker, and author. His work spans from the oceans to the polar regions using visual narratives to drive awareness, education, and policy dialogue.

     For more than ten years, he has been documenting scientific research and the relationship between humanity and nature through photography and writing. He highlights vulnerable ecosystems, biodiversity and cultural loss, sea level rise, indigenous communities, climate change and invasive species, with a strong focus on marine and polar research.

    His work has been featured by global organizations including the European Commission, United Nations, and the European Environment Agency, with presentations and exhibitions worldwide. Christian has given lectures on every continent in more than 25 countries, and engages audiences through immersive lectures, exhibitions, and conferences. He has exhibited in the Federal Parliament of Belgium, led a debate in the Chamber of Representatives, spoke in the Belgian Senate and was appointed by the Belgian government for the visual communication for the R/V BELGICA.
